Course Structure:

Over the 5 day program, sessions will include:

• Music - brass band program
• Music - individual tuition
• Education - physiology
• Holistic and self-awareness workshops
• The "Adrenalin" recreational program

Check in time is 1400hrs on Friday 9 January, and check-out 1600hrs Tuesday 13 January.

At this stage, the days will follow a similar pattern of:
0700 - 0730 Alternating physical activities from Adrenalin recreational program (e.g. a beach activities, lake canoeing/sailing, indoor/pool/gymnasium, rock climbing, flying fox) and the holistic program (e.g. yoga, tai chi);
0830 - 1030 Brass rehearsals;
1100 - 1230 Adrenalin recreational program;
1330 - 1630 Brass rehearsals;
1700 - 1800 Adrenalin recreational program;
1900 - 2000 Performance Workshops;
2000-2100 Evening Masterclasses - David King and 'friends'.

If appropriate, there will be a concert at a local venue following lunch on the final day - Tuesday 13 January.

Awards

At Byron Brass Summer School there are no Gold, Silver or Bronze medals - just Brass.

The Summer School 'Spiritoso Prize' is awarded by D.U.S.T. to the person, not the player, who during the course of self transformation most fully align their 'Potential in Performance'.
